Much of what we're doing now is working with tape, tracking down transcriptions and structuring the show. In the wee hours of the night, it looks something like this:
First things first. Brooke asked me to tell you that only one of the beers on our makeshift work station was hers. Also, that is indeed a large silver yoga ball in the middle of our living room - what of it? And finally, let Viktor One buy you vodka at his restaurant on Partriarch's Ponds, but don't expect to get much work done. Viktor Two (no relation) will toast to the Rolling Stones.

There's a popular saying in Russia today: who's dining a girl, he's the one who dances her. (sic)
Has it ever occured to you who actually owns Echo of Moscow? May be, I'm just suggesting, but may be Echo is not so opposite as it likes to be looked at. May be it's just a part of the orchestra, playing their parts when it's needed, along with the script.
Imo Echo does everything possible for putin-like power never to be changed. Their message seems to be like this: 'Look (hear) who may take Putin's place, just look. And ask yourself if things're better to remain as they are.'
What do you think about the English-language TV news program Russia Today? It will be available around the world via satellite. I have read that it is government controlled and that the Russian Union of Journalists was evicted to make room for Russia Today. Do you know anything about that? Thank you.
I KNEW Brooke could pound back beers like no other! ;-)
LOVING the blog AND the pictures! Incredible. Thanks for giving me this inside view of great journalism is progress.
